Fall 2027 Scholarship
Lauren’s Legacy Scholars Foundation (LLSF) provides scholarships to outstanding young Black women who are either college-bound high school students, currently-enrolled college students or incoming graduate students. This fall, four awards of $2,500 each will be granted to students enrolled in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or trade school.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for an LLSF scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Demographic Requirement: Must identify as a Black woman.
2. Age Requirement: Must be between the ages of 17-22 at the time of application.Â
3. Educational Requirement: Must be a high school senior, recent graduate, or an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited  two-year or four-year college, university, or trade school.Â
4. Financial Need: Must demonstrate financial need through documentation such as a FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) or proof of Pell Grant eligibility.Â
5. Community Involvement: Must demonstrate leadership, volunteerism, or community service experience.
6. Academic Performance: Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.Â
Application Process
All applicants must submit the following materials by the scholarship deadline:
- Completed LLSF Scholarship Application Form.
- A Personal Statement (500-800 words) explaining their background, educational goals, career aspirations, and how the scholarship will impact them.
- A Short Answer Response (300-400 words) sharing your involvement in community service, leadership or giving back.
- Two letters of recommendation (from a teacher, mentor, employer, or community leader).
- Official high school or college transcript.
- Proof of financial need (FAFSA SAR, Pell Grant eligibility, or parental income statement).
- Proof of college or trade school enrollment (if selected before disbursement).
- Headshot: Please share a professional photo, headshot, or recent image of yourself. This will help with our identification process.
- Potential Interview: Finalists may be required to participate in a virtual or in-person interview.
